The Seeds of Vision

Inspired by their friend’s adven­ture climb up Mt. Kil­i­man­jaro, four friends came together in the sum­mer of 2006 to sup­port clean water access in Uru, Tan­za­nia. Believ­ing that all change hap­pens one per­son at a time, they seeded the vision of a bet­ter life in true grass­roots fash­ion… friend to friend, neigh­bor to neigh­bor, and back across the ocean to the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Hope grew in Uru women’s hearts … that the hours long treks on steep, unsafe path­ways could be elim­i­nated by deep water wells. Cre­ative pos­si­bil­i­ties were fos­tered in the minds of chil­dren: no longer car­ry­ing water far dis­tances, they could attend school. And the dream for health and hap­pi­ness of all peo­ple became an answered prayer.
