The power of our personal stories to link us in common recognition and common purpose is immeasurable. Once linked, our ‘common heart and soul’ becomes an unstoppable force in the world… for our mutual good.
Directed by filmmaker Jeremy Vincent Vranich, a documentary is being produced that will portray the power of community and global partnership to solve seemingly insurmountable challenges. The film also tells the story of the Uru people’s struggle to not only sustain life, but to dream and work for a “happy life for our children… and our childrens’ children”.
The spirit of service demonstrated by a small group of people on two sides of the world will be celebrated through this film. Its purpose is twofold: to inspire others to compassionate action and to raise funds and awareness for clean water access in Uru, Tanzania.
Filming began in Uru in January 2008 and will include the 2009 “Climb for a Cause” fundraising trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro. All proceeds from the film’s distribution will go towards the creation of eco-friendly, sustainable clean water solutions in Uru.
